Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) and ¹û½´ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø have launched the NAC Women in Aviation Scholarship Fund. The goal of this annual scholarship is to promote diversity and inspire a new generation of women in the business and engineering fields of aviation.
The scholarship is initially a four academic year commitment from 2022 until 2025. Each year, two outstanding female candidates will be selected and awarded the scholarship, one from the MSc in Air Transport Management (ATM) and one from the MSc in Aerospace Vehicle Design (AVD).
Keith Mason, Professor of Air Transport Management said: “We really welcome this fantastic scholarship to provide support for high calibre women in aviation to study at Cranfield. As an industry, there has been important progress to improve diversity and initiatives such as this will further support women in their aviation careers.”
Mark Westwood, Professor of Aeronautics said: “We are honoured to be chosen by Nordic Aviation Capital as partner on the Women in Aviation Scholarship Fund. Enabling a diverse community is an important objective for us at Cranfield, and this support will accelerate progress towards this, leaving a valuable lasting legacy in the aviation workforce.”
The scholarship awards may be used towards tuition fees, accommodation, living expenses, or other costs directly related to the candidate’s MSc. The awardees of the 2022 scholarships will be announced in November.
