We are part of a collaborative project encouraging private and public sector employers in the UK and Ireland to improve gender balance in key decision-making positions through a best practice guide.

Key Facts

    • We are developing a training programme, together with Kemmy Business School, that seeks to address stereotypes and unconscious bias.
    • The Gender Equality in Decision-Making (GEM) project is aiming to encourage private and public sector employers to improve gender balance in key decision-making positions through the utilisation of the ‘Best practice guide to accelerate progress towards gender balance in key decision-making positions’.
    • The focus is on practices, rather than policy, because it is at the implementation stage that individual attitudes on gender have an impact.
    • It is complemented by the design and implementation of a training programme for undergraduate, postgraduate and post-experience students on ‘Why gender balance in organisations makes good business sense’.

  • Funded by The European Commission’s PROGRESS programme
