On Friday 10 and Saturday 11 June 2022, School of Management alumni returned to 果酱视频官网 campus for their milestone reunion. The event taking place across two days was one of the first in-person events to be held by the Alumni team since 2019, due to the coronavirus pandemic. It was a delight to welcome back alumni who completed their studies in the years ending in 0, 1, 2, 5, 6, and 7 to reconnect with classmates, network with fellow alumni and catch up with faculty members.
The day was jam-packed full of lectures, hearing from innovative School of Management faculty speakers such as Professor Richard Kwiatkowski, Professor Kevin Morrell, Dr. Leila Alinaghian, alumnus Chris Hopson (MBA 1992), and Professor Joe Nellis (Ph.D.1990) sharing the latest thought-leadership and generating an insightful debate between alumni.
It was a real joy hearing about your adventures since leaving Cranfield and seeing alumni reconnect with each other, reminiscing on your time as a student during the celebratory gala dinner.
We asked our alumni to share their favourite memory of Cranfield and their words of wisdom to new students starting their Cranfield journey.
My favourite memory of Cranfield is…
Tony Davies (MBA 1980) “Summer sports day on the green.”
Lisa Day (Exec MBA 2000) “Laughing so much my jaw ached during a graded group assignment.”
My words of wisdom to incoming students are…
Niall Campbell (MBA 1980) “Learning from each other In the study group was brilliant. Diverse skills, experience, and approaches to the case studies yield much better analysis.”
Martin O’Hara (MBA 2012) “The best experiences come from the people you meet in your cohort and the shared events during your course.”
Emma Sue Prince (MBA Exec 2000) “Enjoy every moment and be as present as you can. You’ll be surrounded by incredible minds. It is a joy and the best experience. Do put things into practice straight away.”
Hui Zhu (MBA 2012) “Whatever you do, make sure you have fun. Take care of yourself and the ones you love. Then off you go! Make and enjoy magic.”
Vicki Pickering (MBA 1989) “Do not give up! Share your challenges!”

Professor David Oglethorpe, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Dean of the School of Management said "After a couple of years of lockdowns and separation, I was delighted to welcome so many of you, from around the world, back to Cranfield to celebrate a significant anniversary of your graduation. Reunions provide a wonderful opportunity to rediscover what made Cranfield School of Management "home" for you and to renew your lifelong connection to this special place. Thank you to all alumni and guests who joined us and see how Cranfield has grown into the School it is today."
